The World Health Organization says about 1 million new cases of breast cancer occur worldwide annually. It’s a disease that is more common among women but also strikes men, so all employees can benefit from information on early screening, signs and treatment. Employers and employees can visit Welcoa’s Web site during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for more information. October also is National Disability Employment Awareness Month and Eye Injury Prevention Month.
