Canada Business, a government information center for both established businesses and entrepreneurs, offers a number of tools for any enterprise.
In its effort to help British businesses prosper, Businesslink.gov.uk includes among its resources “How to Find a Training Provider/Course.” It offers a list that companies anywhere can consider in selecting a training provider or course.
A British government service offers several tools in the area of training, including this one. The point of evaluation, Businesslink.gov.uk says, is to know whether your company’s training is effective and how skills and practices might have improved because of it.
Like other large employers, the University of California, Berkeley—which has some 7,700 personnel serving a student body of 35,000—knows some of its success rests on having engaged employees. And the school’s strategy strongly encourages training and development.
